Bible Saturday 4/20: Guard the Tomb

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 16:1-11. Verse 10, if God would do this for Jesus in the tomb, what deliverance or restoration can I ask from him in my current situation? What burial of my hopes can I pray he’ll reverse?

Zechariah 14:1-21. Verse 8, if I could drink of God’s living waters today, how might everything suddenly be different for me?

Habakkuk 3:1-19. Verses 17 and 18, what are the negative elements in my life right now that God wants me to look past and rejoice in him regardless?

Matthew 27:62-66. The establishment fears a resurrection hoax. What forces of doubt and repression are arrayed against us as Jesus people now? What is my church doing about it?
