Bible Monday 4/8: The Price Paul Paid

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 35:1-28. Verse 28, think on God all day long. For how many hours yesterday did I not give him a thought? What if I could think of him even once an hour today?

Zechariah 3:1-10. Verse 4, if God could take off me one bad trait or habit or secret like a ragged dirty shirt, and reclothe me to his pleasure, what would it be?

Philippians 3:1-16. Verses 5-7, what Saul the Pharisee cast off to become Paul the Christian. What are some of my personal bragging points that may need to go on the spiritual dungheap if I’m to follow Jesus?

Matthew 24:36-44. What are some “Noah qualities” I should be living by, today and every day, in order to be found worthy when Christ returns?
