Bible Friday 5/17: All Shook Up

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 40:1-17. Verses 7-9, suppose the whole Bible were “the story of me.” Read that way, what is God offering me? What is he asking of me?

Exodus 19:1-25. Verses 5 and 6 KJV, God designates his people as a peculiar treasure, a kingdom of priests, a holy nation. To participate, what should I do today? What should I not do?

Hebrews 12:18-29. The fearsome shakeup. What manifestations of this do we see around us right now? How do I “apply for asylum” in the things unshakable, the kingdom immovable?

John 6:30-41. Verse 35, is Jesus talking only about the Eucharist, or every meal every day? How can I feast on Him at this very moment?
