Bible Thursday 5/16: Stone by Stone

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 50:1-23. Verse 12, if God is never hungry and I am continually hungry, what does that tell me about how to approach this day?

Exodus 18:1-27. Jethro’s godly counsel to Moses. Who has done something like this for me? For whom can I take on this role?

I Corinthians 3:1-17. Verses 10-13, how would Paul the master builder evaluate the more well-built and less well-built aspects of my life so far? Changes I should try to make?

John 6:22-29. Verse 27, related question, how would Jesus evaluate the earthly vs. heavenly focus of my daily priorities?
