Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 53:1-6. Verses 2 and 3, am I clear that my relationship with God is entirely of his doing, not to my own credit in any way? If this characterized my demeanor today, how would others notice?
Exodus 17:1-16. Verse 12, whom do I know that is in ministry work and might need my help in carrying on?
I Corinthians 10:1-12. Verses 2-4, how do my baptism and my taking communion connect me with Israel’s deliverance from Egypt? What difference do they make in the way I approach this day?
John 6:15-21. What is offered me, or asked of me, as a result of Jesus commanding the Galilean Sea and Moses commanding the Red Sea?
