Bible Saturday 5/11: Determined

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 30:1-12. Verses 6 and 11, when have I experienced this from God? Whom can I encourage today by testifying of this?

Exodus 13:1-22. Verse 21, in place of a fiery or cloudy pillar, what does God give me for guidance and protection as a Christian today? Present application?

I Corinthians 2:1-16. Verses 2-4, what am I facing right now that needs this approach—less of human and self-effort, more of Christ and his Cross?

Luke 2:21-24. If even Jesus, the Son of God, was under the law of Moses, what act of submission might I be overlooking that would make me more useful to the Kingdom?
