Bible Monday 7/1: God is Pro-Life

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 106:1-48. Verses 37-39, children sacrificed to idols, cult of whoredom. How does this relate to the abortion cult of our times? What is my church doing about it?

Leviticus 21:1-24. God requires purity of life for his priests. What examples of godliness or ungodliness have I observed in the clergy? How shall I pray today for my pastors to be delivered from the Evil One?

Acts 5:1-11. When have I been tempted to lie to God? As Peter asked both these liars: Why? How can I put on the whole armor of God today better than ever before?

Mark 3:13-35. Verse 35, what are some consequences of my being in a brother or sister relationship with Jesus, both as to what he offers and what he asks of me?
