Bible Sunday 7/14: Peter's Moment

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 149:1-9. Verse 6, armed today with God’s sword of the Spirit, of the Word, what specific offense or defense or guard duty can I undertake for him and his people?

Numbers 7:1-89. Tribal offerings to dedicate the tabernacle. What forms can generosity take, besides money and objects? Why is generosity both more expected of a Christian and more possible? Action point?

Acts 9:32-43. In doing these two healings, what had Peter learned from Jesus? What can I learn from Peter and put to use this very day?

Mark 6:53-56. What does it mean to touch Jesus’ robe, now that he is no longer physically here?
