Bible Friday 6/14: Atonement

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 69:1-36. Verse 5 KJV, what foolishness of mine does God patiently forgive? How can I thank him today?

Leviticus 4:1-35. Atoning for sin under the old covenant. Do I tend to take for granted the supreme, sufficient, sacrificial atonement Jesus made for me on the cross?

I Corinthians 4:20-33. Verses 26 and 33, KJV.  How can I start doing more to edify fellow Christians this week, this year? What confusion at my church needs God’s correction?

John 18:1-11. Verse 11, for me and other believers in these times, what’s the application of taking the cup, not the sword?
