Bible Saturday 6/15: To Own Him or Not

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 75:1-10. Verse 1, Thy name is near. What’s my specific need for God’s nearness today? What particular aspects of His name or nature do I seek to experience right now?

Leviticus 5:1-19. Verses 15-18, sin isn’t excused by ignorance. Why does the world reject this? What responsibility does this impose on my church and me?

I Corinthians 14:34-40. Verse 39 KJV, covet to prophesy. How can I set my sights higher to be a witness and messenger for the God I love? First step?

John 18:12-18. Peter flinches before a servant girl. What small but momentous choices may I face today between owning and disowning Jesus?
