Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 78:1-72. Verse 38 KJV, what are some times God has turned his anger away from me? How can I repay him today?
Leviticus 8:1-36. Verses 6-13, how the priests were to be cleansed, clothed, and anointed before entering God’s presence. Spiritually, what “garments” should I put on to come near Him today?
I Corinthians 15:12-19. Does the world as usual define our idea of Jesus, or does Jesus—by dying and rising—redefine the whole world, myself included? How will today present me with this choice?
John 18:28-38. Verses 37 and 38, is my church more in the truth business or the advice business? Are students who have learned in school that each individual has their own truth, set straight at my church?
