Bible Wednesday 7/17: Silver Trumpets

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:25-48. Verses 29 and 30 KJV, way of lying vs. way of truth. What specific choice does this force upon me today in my dealings with God? My dealings with other people?

Numbers 10:1-36. Verses 35 and 36, Moses’ invocations for marching and halting. How can I involve God more consciously in my comings and goings of today than I did yesterday?

Acts 10:34-48. Verse 34, what opportunity can I find today to show that I serve a God who is no respecter of persons and that Jesus is for everyone?

Mark 7:24-30. What opportunity can I find today to be both as bold and as meek as this woman was in seeking Jesus’ help?
