Bible Thursday 7/18: Do Good

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 37:1-40. Verse 3 KJV, to whom can I “do good” today in a special or surprising way, for the glory of God?

Numbers 11:1-35. The people complaining of manna, God gives them quail—and a plague. When have I caught myself being ungrateful to God? Present application?

Acts 11:1-18. Verse 17, Peter couldn’t withstand God. When have I caught myself being stingy, rebuked by His generosity? Present application?

Mark 7:31-37. Hands-on healing of a deaf-mute by Jesus. No longer here to touch us physically, how does Christ heal now? For whose miraculous healing shall I especially pray today?
