Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 80:1-19. Verse 17, what actions and abilities for my benefit are expressed by the imagery of God’s hand? What do I need his hand to do for me today?
Numbers 29:1-40. Under the new covenant are no days particularly sacred to God, or are all days equally sacred to him? If the latter, what’s required of me today?
II Peter 1:1-11. Verses 5 and 10 KJV, in asking me for diligence, what exactly is God calling on me to do or not do? First step?
Mark 3:1-12. Verse 5, what hardness is in my heart toward those who are suffering, struggling, or just different from me? What is God’s antidote for that?
