Bible Tuesday 8/13: Fatal Ignorance

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 94:1-23. Verses 7-11, when have I told myself—even though knowing better—that God won’t notice something unworthy that I thought or did? What was the consequence?

Joshua 1:1-18. Joshua takes over for Moses. When have I seen someone regarded as irreplaceable, replaced? How did God show up? Present application?

Acts 18:1-11. Verse 5, where, when, and how might I be called by God to testify that Jesus is the Christ, Son of God, Savior of the world? How will I know? How should I prepare?

Mark 12:18-27. Verse 24, how can the Bible be a channel of God’s power for me today?
