Bible Sunday 11/8: Armor of God

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 22:1-31. Verses 19-22, as political clamor and rancor continue in America, what am I anxious and troubled about? What is God’s remedy?

Isaiah 13:1-22. Verses 9-11, what sins of mankind are most offensive to God at this time in history? What is my church doing about it? My role?

I Thessalonians 5:1-11. Verse 5, if I am one of the children of light, what does God expect of me? What can I expect of him? How am I to treat the children of darkness?

Luke 18:9-17. Do I sometimes approach God more in the manner of this Pharisee than of this publican? Action point?
