Bible Sunday 3/29: Down with Christ

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 72:1-20. Asking God to grant heavenly capabilities to earthly rulers. In this pandemic, praying impartially and by name, for what leaders shall I make this petition?

Nahum 3:1-12. God dooms Nineveh. What if we find America has lost her way so badly she can never recover the glory days? What would God expect of me and my family and my church at that point? Guidance for today?

I Corinthians 7:10-16. How couples may sanctify each other. Who among my relatives needs prayer today for a closer walk with God? Is a personal word from me appropriate?

Matthew 21:33–46. Verse 38, how does the contemporary world say exactly this: “Christ and Christianity are in the way, let’s get rid of them”? What is my church doing about it? My role?
