Bible Monday 3/30: The Fugitive

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 73:1-24. Verses 13-17 KJV, what feels unfair in my life right now, what feels as though God has become distant? How do I enter his “sanctuary” in order to make sense of it all?

Jonah 1:1-17. When have I tried to flee from God so as to escape what he was demanding of me? What did I learn? Present application during this pandemic?

I Corinthians 7:17-24. Verse 22, how can I be at the same time both the Lord’s freeman and Christ’s servant or slave? What new light does this shed on my approach to politics and public issues?

Matthew 21:1-14. Verse 12, what “love assignment” is God giving me and other Christians at this stormy time? Verse 13, what does endurance look like for me right now? Verse 14, what Kingdom opportunity is before us?
