Bible Friday 5/29: Rouse Ye

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 71:1-24. Verses 17-21, what shining examples of God’s faithfulness to me in the past can I dwell upon for assurance he will see me through this pandemic?

Obadiah 1:1-21. Verses 10-15, how have Americans today, including many Christians, brought trouble on ourselves by disobeying God? What is my church doing about it?

Ephesians 5:8-21. Verses 8 and 14 KJV, by what attitudes and actions would I be recognizable to others as one of the children of light, one of Christ’s faithful?

John 16:25-33. Verse 33 KJV, amid the Covid crisis, what good does it do me that Jesus has overcome the world? By what marks would it be evident to people that I dwell in the peace Jesus gives?
