Bible Friday 7/3: God's Inclusiveness

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 5:1-12. Verse 11 KJV, what is there right now in my relationship with God, his goodness to me and mine, that makes me want to shout for joy?

II Samuel 1:1-26. Verse 23, Saul eulogized by David, despite everything. When have I suddenly seen the better side of a flawed, unlovely personality? What’s the lesson for me in that?

Acts 10:9-23. Verses 13-15, are there ways in which I’m holding a narrower view of what God accepts and cares about, where he wants me to have a wider view? What am I excluding that he wants me to include?

Mark 5:21-43. Verses 28-30 and 34-36, Jesus under pressure yet interruptible and unhurried; why? How can I be more like that today, no matter how busy it gets?
