Bible Wednesday 8/12: Bottomless

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 105:1-45. Verses 6, 9, 42, why does God want me to anchor my spiritual ancestry in his servant Abraham? By what attitudes and actions can I be more like Abraham today?

I Kings 17:1-24. Verses 12-14, leaving aside money and material provisions, in what other ways does God have bottomless resources to meet my needs today?

Acts 24:1-27. Verses 22-27, what are the nobler and baser qualities of character seen here in this Roman official, Felix? How is character weakening in American elites as God is more and more marginalized?

Luke 4:23-27. Verse 24, if Jesus, in a disguise, began attending my church and making waves, what might we resist or dislike about his way of doing things?
