Bible Wednesday 12/15: What of the Poor?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 112:1-10. Verse 9, how can I do more for the poor this Christmas than I’ve ever done before?

Daniel 7:1-28. An apocalyptic vision of the Most High, the Ancient of days, and the Son of man. What is the practicality of this for me today, here and now?

Revelation 18:21-24. How can I take refuge in God when these titanic spiritual calamities break over the whole earth?

Matthew 23:23-28. When have I conducted myself as a fake Christian with backward priorities? Am I entirely free of that now?
