Bible Monday 12/6: Seize the Day

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 90:1-17. As my days pass into years and my years into a lifetime, how does God’s valuation of me differ from the world’s valuation?

Esther 8:1-17. At Esther’s plea, the king lifts the Jews’ death sentence. Who among my own acquaintance do I admire as a woman of command, clothed with the strength of the Lord?

Revelation 14:14-20. God’s grapes of wrath. If a wrathful harvest awaits our sinful nation, what might it look like? What is my church doing about it? My role?

Matthew 22:1-14. Verse 11, what’s the symbolism of making sure I am properly attired when entering into the presence of the High King? How must I “dress myself” as a guest of God today?
