Bible Sunday 12/5: Gabriel Visits Mary

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 89:1-52. Verse 47 KJV, how short my time. Amid the challenges of my life right now, in what way does it seem time is not on my side? What is God’s answer to that?

Esther 7:1-10. Wicked Haman pays with his life. When have I seen malice and evil intent become their own punishment? But when they go unpunished, where is God then? Present application?

Revelation 14:1-13. Verse 13, blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. Whose name occurs to me? What shall I do today to honor that person’s memory?

Luke 1:26-38. If asked by a friendly nonbeliever why it does or does not matter that Jesus was born of a virgin, what would I say? Who is the Virgin Mary to me?
