Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 31:1-24. Verse 8, applying this to my life at present, in what way does Satan seek to confine, restrict, or imprison me? How does God refute that and show me unconfined possibilities, wide scope of action?
Proverbs 21:1-31. Verse 30, what enemies of God, attacks on God, or lies about God can I cut to pieces today with this sword of truth?
Romans 12:1-8. Verse 2, reviewing yesterday, when was I conformed to the world in a way that saddened Jesus? Anticipating today, how shall I let him transform me out of that and renew my mind?
Matthew 18:21-35. When have I been glaringly ungrateful to God or undeservedly harsh to someone? How did I justify that to myself? Am I doing so even now? Action point for today?
