Bible Friday 4/23: Passover

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 121:1-8. Verse 1, what’s been bothering me lately, for which God invites me to direct my spiritual gaze today up rather than down?

Exodus 12:1-51. Egypt’s firstborn die, Passover instituted, Israel makes its exodus. What must I do to make sure my family and I are safely marked with the blood of the Lamb this day?

I Corinthians 2:1-16. Verse 2, is Christ crucified the main thing in my life, or one of several important things, or really not even that? By what evidence can others tell how much the Cross matters to me?

John 5:39-47. Verses 39 and 46, whom can I bless by sharing with them this thunderbolt that the whole Bible is about Jesus? How shall I prepare myself to undertake that sharing?
