Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 10:1-18. Verse 17 KJV, if I humble myself to God so he can prepare my heart, what would that process involve? What will he be preparing me for?
Exodus 24:1-18. Verses 3 and 7, though soon to idolize the golden calf, the Israelites vow their fidelity to God. When have I broken a promise to God? What was the consequence?
I Corinthians 7:10-16. How God wants married couples to stay that way and lift each other up in Christ. Whose example of this do I admire? Action point for me today?
John 7:32-39. Verses 37 and 38, by what evidence could others notice that living water flows both into me from Jesus and out of me to others? Have I an opportunity for that even today?
