Bible Saturday 5/29: Stand Fast

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 73:1-28. Verses 3-5 and 16-18, where do envy, jealousy, and covetousness find a foothold in me? What is God’s remedy?

Leviticus 5:1-19. Trespass offerings. By what thought or action have I recently dishonored God? How can I learn from this and never repeat the trespass?

I Corinthians 16:13-24. Verse 13, against what threat does God want us to be particularly watchful right now? What are the factors requiring of Christians much courage and fortitude at present?

John 10:31-42. Verse 36, whom do I know that is offended or skeptical at Jesus being called the Son of God, yet might be willing to take a closer look? Action point?
