Bible Friday 6/18: Philip Wins a Soul

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:1-48. Verses 2, 10, 11, 34, 36 KJV, as God spiritually examines me with a “heart scan” today, what does he see that pleases him & what does he see that concerns him? Action point?

Leviticus 25:1-55. Verse 10 KJV, “proclaim… thereof” is inscribed on the Liberty Bell. How has liberty taken on a different meaning from Moses’ time to Jefferson’s time to Biden’s and Trump’s time today?

Acts 8:26-40. Verses 26, 29, 39, how can I begin to grow in faith toward Philip’s level of attunement with God, such that sometimes I’d be told by the Holy Spirit just what to do and say, and helped to do it?

Mark 3:31-35. How can I begin to grow in faith toward that intimacy with Jesus whereby he considers me not only a lost one to be rescued but also a brother to be delighted in and confided in?
