Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 19:49-88. Verse 54 KJV, thinking of myself as a pilgrim for Jesus, what’s the task of this day, the goal of this year? What statutes and songs has God provided for my pilgrimage?
Leviticus 26:1-46. Verses 3, 14, 23, 27, 40, God’s if/then promises to his people. Is he saying he loves us conditionally or unconditionally? Did the New Testament invalidate this? Action point for me today?
Acts 9:1-9. Verse 6, when have I prayed with desperation, “Lord, what will you have me do?” What happened? What did I learn?
Mark 4:1-12. What keeps me from being more fruitful for Jesus: influences from below, influences seemingly from above, or my own fallen nature? Prayer point?
