Bible Thursday 8/12: Angel in the Storm

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 105:1-45. Verse 15 KJV, touch not my anointed. For what person shall I invoke today this protective decree of God against all enemies, material and spiritual?

Joshua 3:1-17. Only when the priests waded in did the Jordan waters part. What trustful step of total faith is God waiting for me to take today?

Acts 27:13-29. Why does Paul, a landsman, seem to know the sea better than all these sailors? How can I access the God-given calm and clarity he shows here?

Mark 15:21-41. If our true communion with Jesus consists in rightly valuing both his crucifixion and his resurrection, do I tend to overweight one or the other? Why does it matter in my everyday life?
