Bible Friday 9/24: Roll Up Your Sleeves

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 106:1-48. Verses 4 and 7 KJV, when have I had the experience of God remembering me even though I didn’t remember him? Present application?

I Chronicles 1:1-54. Related, God’s honor roll of men and women who were dear to him in early times. What may be some vital details about me and my family that God knows even better than I do? Result?

Galatians 2:1-10. Verse 9 KJV, pillars of the church. Prominent or not, how does one qualify as a pillar? Should I aspire to that status, and if so, what’s to be done?

Luke 10:1-12. Verse 3, Jesus’ disciples as lambs among wolves. How then do we stand a chance? How does this figure of speech play out in the real-world circumstances I’m facing?
