Bible Saturday 9/25: Life to the Full

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 69:1-36. Verse 35, God cares for cities. What are my city’s big needs right now? How can I and my church, with prayers and deeds, minister to those?

I Chronicles 2:1-55. God’s honor roll of ancient names, continued. If they mattered to him enough to record their names in Scripture, what does that say about how much I matter to him?

Galatians 2:11-21. Verse 20, have I, like Paul, been crucified with Christ. What obligations and opportunities does that place before me today?

Luke 10:13-20. Verse 20, what is the greatest achievement and reward I can gain from discipleship, according to this saying of Jesus?
