Bible Sunday 9/26: Spellbound

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 70:1-5. Verse 1, telling God to hurry up. Why does it feel wrong to pray in these terms? Why does God give us permission to do so with this and other psalms?

I Chronicles 3:1-55. God’s honor roll of ancient names, continued. If they mattered to him enough to record their names in Scripture, what does that say about how much I matter to him?

Galatians 3:1-9. Verses 1-3, approaching the challenges of this day, where will I face a choice between being foolish and bewitched or faithful In Jesus Christ?

Luke 10:21-24. Related, Jesus thanks the Father for favoring baby Christians. How do I go about qualifying for that distinction?
