Bible Thursday 1/20: Be Converted

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 51:1-19. Verses 12 and 13, if by receiving salvation I am now in a position to teach sinners about God and convert them, what will that look like in my daily activities?

Deuteronomy 20:1-20. Verse 1, when fighting on God’s side, ordinary math and probabilities don’t apply. What situation I’m currently facing looks different in this light?

Hebrews 9:16-28. Verse 28, if Jesus returns today, what do I want him to find me doing?

Matthew 7:13-20. Related question, in commanding me to bear good fruit, what exactly does Jesus expect me to accomplish over the coming year? First step?
