Bible Saturday 5/7: Holocaust of the Unborn

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 12:1-8. Verses 2 and 3 KJV, why does God condemn flattery? In what way do I tend to use flattery or enjoy having it used on me? What is God’s antidote?

Ezekiel 22:1-31. God’s wrath on those who shed innocent blood. How furious must he be at the global abortion holocaust of recent years? What is my church doing about it? My role?

I Corinthians 15:50-58. Do I honestly believe that mortal man’s death is swallowed up in Christ’s victory? If given only a week to live, what would be my state of mind?

John 6:15-21. Over what stormy sea in my own life right now do I need to see Jesus walking to meet me, calmly in control? What does he ask of me, in order for that to occur?
