Bible Sunday 5/15: River of His Pleasures

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 36:1-12. Verse 8 KJV, what are some good things I can expect to experience today from God’s house of fatness, God’s river of pleasures?

Ezekiel 30:1-26. God warns of Babylon’s conquest over Egypt. Is my daily prayer big enough to recognize God’s sovereignty over the nations as well as over my own little sphere?

I Corinthians 12:12-19. How the body of Christ values all its diverse members. What can I do right now to help make this a reality in my church?

John 7:25-36. Verses 30 and 33, Jesus’ infallible timing of the work he came to do. What’s going on in my life at present, where I need him to take control of the timing and perfect its completion?
