Bible Sunday 9/11: Running Over

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 29:1-11. Verse 2 KJV, what are some specific ways that the “beauty of holiness” can enter into the things I think, say, and do in worshipping God?

II Kings 20:1-21. King Hezekiah, through Isaiah’s intercession, is healed by God and given another 15 years of life. For what medical condition of my own or a loved one shall I pray God’s healing today?

Job 12:1-25. Pushing back at his friends, Job insists that God’s sovereign ways are beyond human understanding. When has adversity forced me toward this level of humility?

Luke 6:37-42. Verse 38, whom do I admire as an example of the unselfish giving in Christ’s name, described here? What’s one step I can take today to be more like that person?
