Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 22:1-31. Verses 3, 6, 9, 19, 24 KJV, what struggle am I waging today, where the cry of “but God” can tip the balance in my favor?
Genesis 9:1-29. Verses 1 and 7, does my church take the command to be fruitful and multiply as seriously as Bible believers took it in the past? Why does it matter?
Hebrews 6:1-12. Verse 10, over the past year, what has been my labor of love for God and God’s people? What reward am I enjoying or hoping for?
John 2:12-25. Verses 24 and 25, what does Jesus know about me—good and bad alike—that no one else knows? What is he doing about it and requiring me to do about it?
