Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 19:1-14. Verse 10, if I really value God’s word above all riches, by what actions can I prove it today?
Genesis 8:1-22. The flood subsides; Noah and family are saved. When has God seen me through bad times to a new beginning? Did I fully improve the opportunity? Do I continue thanking him?
II Peter 2:1-5. Verse 5, Noah as a preacher of righteousness. Who has an eye on me as an example of the Christian faith, watching my words and deeds? Are there ways in which I need to pick my game?
John 2:1-11. Verse 5, why does Jesus’ mother have particular authority to tell me to do whatever he says? How does this impact my spiritual goals for 2023?
