Bible Friday 4/12: Nothing Eclipses Him

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 104:1-35. God’s majestic activity in creating and governing all things. Verse 19, what important spiritual lesson can I put into action after this week’s solar eclipse?

Ezekiel 5:1-17. The prophet’s hair and beard, ceremonially cut off, symbolize the woes awaiting wicked Jerusalem. Will my church and my family and I be ready if things get a lot worse for Christians in the USA?

I Corinthians 11:27-34. How does this warning about not taking the eucharist unworthily, specifically apply to me? Action point for today (not just for the first Sunday of the month)?

John 6:41-51. How would I notice, and how would others notice, as I begin to experience the everlasting life that comes from eating the bread (flesh) of the Son of God?
