Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 16:1-11. Verse 8, I set the Lord always before me. How shall I actually go about doing this today? What is called for in thought, word, and action? What’s my reward for doing so?
I Chronicles 12:1-16. Verses 9 and 10, when have I foolishly settled for brass even though God wanted to give me gold? Aplication to present needs?
Colossians 4:12-18. Who labors fervently for me in prayers, that I may stand perfect and complete in God’s will? What would that spiritual completeness look like for me today? How can I pay it forward?
Luke 20:27-40. What new possibilities are open to me this day because Jesus puts me in touch with the God of the living, not the God of the dead?
