Bible Wednesday 10/8: Deep Places

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 95:1-11. Verse 4, what are some of the deep places in me, my loved ones, and our hurting world where I can trust that God’s hand is present and active today?

I Chronicles 14:1-17. Verse 15, the Holy Spirit, audible to David like wind in the trees, gives him victory in battle. When have I sensed the Holy Spirit guiding, protecting, or moving in me?

Ephesians 2:1-13. Verse 10, what specific change has God brought about in me, showing that I am his workmanship in Christ Jesus? What further change from him am I praying for right now?

Luke 13:22-35. Verse 24, what is the narrow gate by which Jesus says I must enter his kingdom? Must I do this just once, or again and again every day? What choice of gates is he placing before me today?
