Bible Monday 11/17: Glad River

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 46:1-11. Verse 4, how can I gain access today to this river that makes glad the city of God? What will the river do for me?

II Chronicles 25:1-28. Amaziah ignores God’s prophet and brings his kingdom to grief. When have I acted as if I knew better than God? What did I learn?

Revelation 5:1-14. What can the Lion of Judah do for me today? What can the Lamb that was slain do for me today?

Luke 23:1-12. Pilate and Herod as newfound allies. How do we see the worldly powers combining in efforts to silence Jesus today? Why do they continue to fail?
