Bible Thursday 5/8: At Mount Sinai

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 18:1-50. Verse 19, what is the deliverance I need today by this God who delights in me? Why should he delight in me at all, imperfect and inconstant as I am? How can I thank him?

Exodus 19:1-25. Verse 6, what would it specifically look like today for me, my family, and my church to serve God as a kingdom of priests and a holy nation?

I Peter 3:1-12. Verses 8 and 9, what person or situation occurring in my life today gives me an opportunity to be loving and generous—by God’s grace, against my inclinations—as Peter teaches here?

John 6:60-71. Verses 66-69, when have I seen someone quit on Jesus? Have I ever felt like doing so? Why am I determined to stay with him no matter what?
