Bible Friday 5/30: The Comforter

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 71:1-24. Verses 9 and 18, what does God want me to know about the challenges of aging? Does my approach tend to be more one of comfort or of fidelity?

Leviticus 2:1-16. What offering shall I bring to God today?

I John 3:10-24. Who is someone I find very hard to love? How shall I ask Jesus to help me love that person a little better today?

John 14:12-24. Verses 16-18, what specific need do I have today, or does someone close to me have, for the Holy Spirit in his office as comforter?
