Bible Thursday 5/29: Called to Witness

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 24:1-10. Verses 3-6, from this description of King Jesus, ascended to sit at God’s right hand, what answer to my prayers shall I expect from him today?

Exodus 40:1-38. Over God’s tabernacle, a cloud by day and a fire by night. In my mind’s eye, what constant sign of God’s unfailing presence with me, my family, and our home can I see?

Acts 1:1-14. Verse 8, what specific opportunity can I find today to witness for Jesus Christ—crucified, risen, ascended, reigning, and sure to come again?

Luke 24:26-53. Verse 47, what is my role in preaching to all nations in Jesus’ name for the repentance and remission of sins?
