Bible Monday 5/26: Safe in Christ

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 68:1-35. Verse 19, God daily loads me with benefits. What specific benefits are included for me today? Do these outweigh my daily load of cares, worries, struggles?

Exodus 37:1-29. Bezaleel’s consummate artistry for the ark of the covenant. What is something beautiful for God (in Mother Teresa’s phrase) that I have done in the past year? That I can do in the year to come?

I John 2:18-29. How does the antichrist, in its many forms, threaten my communion with God and my fellowship with his people? How does my relationship with God annul that threat?

John 10:22-30. Verse 27, as one of Jesus’ own sheep, how can I recognize his voice today? How can I tell that he knows me? What’s involved in following him today?
