Bible Friday 6/27: Too Wonderful

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 139:1-24. What specifically do I want God to accomplish in me today—spiritually and materially—by his purpose and power to search the very depths of my being?

Numbers 3:1-51. Moses’ census of the Israelites continues. What blessings and what duties rest upon me right now in consequence of serving a God who orders the tiniest details as well as the farthest galaxies?

Acts 8:14-25. Peter is furious at the suggestion that God’s favor can be bought and sold. How does this lesson warn Christians and their churches today? How might this perversion of the gospel sneak up on me?

Mark 1:29-39. Who is someone that is in dire need of the healing hands of Jesus the Great Physician, here and now without delay?
