Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 143:1-12. Verses 8-10, In what form do I hope to experience God’s lovingkindness this morning? What way to walk in, do I ask him to show me? Am I ready to have him teach me and lead me?
Numbers 4:1-49. Further orders to the Levites for when the tabernacle has to move. Verses 6-13, if God has even specified red or blue or purple altar-cloths, can I doubt his care for every tiniest detail of my life in Him?
Acts 8:26-40. The queen’s treasurer, pondering Scripture, accepts Christ and is baptized by the roadside. Who needs to hear from me today about Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God?
Mark 1:40-45. Toward whom can I show Christlike compassion today by daring to love the unlovable and touch the untouchable?
